HELLO WORLD

hello world. after about approximately 5 months and 5 days I have decided to try my luck at sustaining a blog. again. so hello world. it's now approximately 198.5 hours away from common test, and with any luck I should finish studying by next sunday. though it seems too short a time. further organic chemistry, modern analytical chemistry, mathematics, every single chapter of biology, economics, free trade, globalisation, the adventures of hucklyberry finn, siddhartha, paddy clark ha ha ha, king lear, wilfred owen, wole soyinka, robert frost.

Two roads diverged in a yellow wood,
And sorry I could not travel both
And be one traveler, long I stood
And looked down one as far as I could
To where it bent in the undergrowth;

Then took the other, as just as fair,
And having perhaps the better claim,
Because it was grassy and wanted wear;
Though as for that the passing there
Had worn them really about the same,

And both that morning equally lay
In leaves no step had trodden black.
Oh, I kept the first for another day!
Yet knowing how way leads on to way,
I doubted if I should ever come back.

I shall be telling this with a sigh
Somewhere ages and ages hence:
Two roads diverged in a wood, and I-
I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference.

Just this week was council hand over camp. it was pretty fun I guess, especially the night games, where it was our turn to scare. in the clocktower. which scared us out too. but was pretty okay after that.

Thai fishcake is yummy. especially my mum's. (:

Tomorrow is fathers' day. HAPPY FATHERS DAY!

Year 5 orientation 2008

Ok so here starts a brand new year and yes there's Year 5 Orientation! whee! (: This year's orientation was half a day shorter and more hectic with longer days as compared to last years, but the programme was more or less the same. There were two factions: EE and TOK! No, they don't stand for the IB 4000 word long Extended Essay, and Theory of Knowledge, but The Extended Empire and The Tribe of knowledge, "brilliantly" thought up by our dear Jlow and Butler. First day there were station games, and my station was the mass dance station and collection of orientation packacages. BZB and I danced the mass dance like 13 times in total, and I swear I could have lost like some weight over there. haha! (: Second day was the ACSiting race, where teams had to race a team from the opposing faction. Antay and I were the gamemasters for station 8 which was the FOUNTAIN OF WEALTH, the world's largest fountain. yes.

There the "majestic" largest fountain in the world. Ok so basically our station was pretty tough going for the year 5s haha, as it was duckwalking half the circumference of the circle of fence that enclosed the fountain at road level, and say a letter of International Baccalaureate after 10 steps. But somehow I think that was even less than what we had to endure last year, as I vaguely remember duckwalking the entire circle of restuarants downstairs at the basement. It was a interesting sight I would say. haha (: The second part of our station was to do the mass dance, without the music sadly, and lastly to take group photos! (: so here are some photos for you to enjoy. yes.

So then comes day three. There was mass dance in the morning followed by telematch. Telematch wasn't as dirty as ours either, actually it was pretty "clean" seeing that they had to dive on a groundsheet with soap water on it, while we had to dive on the muddy ground itself. It didn't help that it was sunny and no matter how much water we splashed onto the ground to make it muddy. ): oh well, but I had a really fun time putting gel on people's hair haha and screaming at them to wear their big shirt thing thing properly. haha (: after telematch there was the cca fair, followed by cheering and then mass dance once again for the last time. We had a faction dance-off and then we councillors, who just couldn't get enough of the mass dance, had a separate dance-off for ourselves. haha (: (: you just wouldn't be able to imagine the glee on BZB's face. haha! (: oh yes and we also had an orientation dinner on the last day, friday (: as the councillors could only take food last, (not like there was anymore food when it came to our turn) we had like super great time playing the hand-multiples-of-five game and the yo-check-it-out game! (: (:
Orientation was pretty good and fun for us councillors, OGLs and the councilogl (our dear kyle), though I'm not too sure if the Year 5s enjoyed it as much as us, or even half as much as us. But they were a more enthusaistic bunch than us, which is a start. (: (: yup so good luck year 5s on your journey through these two years, and all the best to that elusive 45 points! (:

Somemore pictures,

The game

So you think that this is a game?
I think so too
It's been fun playing this little game with you
But I think it has to stop
And the truth has to come out

The world isn't perfect all of us know that
Something like that won't ever happen again
You can count on me to prevent it
Just f***ing keep your distance
And stop acting like you care

Life isn't a bed of roses
Everyone goes through the same ups and downs
I've learnt from this little lesson
I hope you have too
Cause it's not going to continue in this manner

Let's shake hands
Take a bow
And let's forget what has happened
And start over again
To know each other again

It's been great playing this little game with you
Where there isn't a winner neither is there a loser
I thank you for the experience
I've learnt finally and accepted the truth
So thank you
